NET LOAD HIGH

Setting the LOAD LOW strategy

Syntax: NET LOAD LOW

The following command stops NetSoft LAN programs from loading themselvesinto Upper Memory Blocks or High Memory:

NET LOAD LOW

You may use these commands to selectively load NetSoft LAN programs and drivers high or low. You can set the strategy permanently using the LoadHi= parameter in the DOSNET.INI file under the heading [Setup].

To load DOSNET.COM, SERVER.COM, CLIENT.COM or ROUTER.COM high the LoadHi= parameter must initially be set to 1 because the NET command itself is not available until the basic network is loaded.

For more details on Upper Memory Blocks and High memory see Appendix A "USING HIGH MEMORY".
