This CD-ROM has been built on October 22, 2001.

 

Alliance is a complete set of free CAD tools and portable libraries for VLSI design. It includes a VHDL compiler and simulator, logic synthesis tools, and automatic place and route tools. A complete set of portable CMOS libraries is provided, including a RAM generator, a ROM generator and a data-path compiler. Alliance is the result of a ten year effort spent at ASIM department of LIP6 laboratory of the Pierre et Marie Curie University (Paris VI, France).

 

This CD-ROM contains a local copy of the Alliance Web site (http://asim.lip6.fr/alliance/) and nearly all the Alliance ftp site (ftp://asim.lip6.fr/pub/alliance/). 

 

The latest official release is 4.0.6. If you want to install it, please go to the official distribution folder and read the README file, but you might be interested in latest builds that are located in unstable distribution. You can also look at the development snapshot of our installation at LIP6 where you can find some more tools which are not part of the unstable distribution.
