Subject: [*] Aetiket Label Printer

I am writing to let you know about the new release of Aetiket Label Printer
version 2.6.1. In this version I have made many improvements based on
customer feedback and comments, and two major new features are:

1) Aetiket Label Printer is French/English bilingual, widening the product
coverage to European users in another international language.

2) A new Duplication function was implemented, enabling "input-once,
print-many"
printing of labels with full type and paragraph formatting control.

Aetiket Label Printer 2.6.1 is an update to the older Aetiket Label Printer
2.5.2
already in your archive. The filename is the same.

Aetiket Label Printer is a FileMaker Pro Solution that makes it easy to
print labels of various sizes anywhere on a label sheet: one at a time,
in small batches, or whole pages at once.

Mailing, Packaging, European A4, and media labels are supported, and more
are added regularly in response to customer requests and support.

Thank you for your support,

Eric Fandrich

Subject: [*] Alien Conspiracy: A cocoa action game

Alien Conspiracy is a side-scrolling shooter created with Apple's Cocoa.
The main character is a spy trying to destroy an alien craft that has
crash-landed in the desert. Along the mission he must complete several
objectives, like obtaining the coordinates of the craft's crash site or
planting a bomb at the core of the ship. The enemies are varied and
challenging, and the last commando presents additional troubles. There are
five regular weapons, plus a bonus weapon available to the elite players.

Clever's Arithmeticus
(C) 1998 DELTA Engineering, M. Helbling, Zurich, Switzerland.

Clever's Arithmeticus is a program for mental arithmetic training. It
offers 18 preinstalled
difficulty levels which incorporates beginning math skills - using one
operand - up to pre-algebra, utilizing four operands, negative numbers
and parentheses. Individual levels can be created.
Clever's Arithmeticus creates work-sheets. Teachers have the possibility
to control the progress of pupils.
Clever's Arithmeticus is not repetive, the equations vary at each level
and exercise. The arithmetic-generator is switched off in the demo
version.

Please remember that Clever's Arithmeticus is shareware. This means that
you can try it out. If you plan to
use it, send in the registration fee.
You will get a registration code which supports the arithmetic-generator
to create various arithmetical problems.
We encourage you to give the original Clever's Arithmeticus (not your
registered copy) to anyone who also
wishes to evaluate Clever's Arithmeticus.

To learn more about using Clever's Arithmeticus and all the benefits it
provides, choose the menu
command "?" (or 'Command-Key + Shift ?' instead) to open the Users Guide
after you have installed.

Clever's Arithmeticus is available for MacOS, Windows NT, and Windows
95/98 in English as well
as in German. Other languages like French are on the line. Each version
supports the proper look-and-feel
of its underlying platform.

Subject: [*] Back-Drop for Decor - A better drag-n-drop desktop picture util

Back-Drop for Decor complements Francois Pottier's shareware utility
Decor by allowing you to choose a desktop image on the fly. You can drag
an image onto it to display that image, or drag a folder onto it to have
Decor choose from the images inside according to its preferences. Plus,
there's an Undo function: if you pick a picture that pickles your pucker,
you can Undo the picking of the last picture you picked! It's great for
trying out images on your desktop, for example. Just drag each one onto
Back-Drop's icon until you find one you like. If you don't like it, click
Undo and go back to what you had.

Thoroughly-commented source is included for the sake of other budding
AppleScripters.

* You need Applescript installed, since this is really just an
Applescript application.

BackgroundWarper 1.1 - creates seamless geometrical background patterns yet
unusual in Web pages. Instead of drawing with brushes, you set global parameters
(of warpers, squishing and colours of the sheet, the light sources and the
shades, using hints to make colours harmonize). Explications come in the Help
menu and the homepage http://perso.club-internet.fr/ggyory/Warper/warper1.html.
BackgroundWarper comes with examples ready to use and modify. You can use
Netscape, Mac and Windows palettes. The unregistered and light versions have
limited save and warping capabilities. The full version can save smoothly moving
tile sequences in PICT files too. Requirements: Macintosh PPC, colour.

"a great simple shoot-em-up game...has the same primal appeal of

Wayne Bremser, Mac Home Journal

"Blood Bath is a fast paced shoot'em-up similar in gameplay to titles
such as "Lethal Enforcers" and "Mad Dog McCree." What sets this one
apart from the rest is the ultra-smooth animation during gameplay. Most
games of this kind animate so slowly and so jerky, it's almost
impossible to play them, much less have fun. This is not the case with
Blood Bath. Everything is smooth and fluid, enabling you to concentrate
on blasting the enemies instead of waiting to see if you hit your target
or not...Underworld has done a remarkable job in creating a game of this
style that is actually fun to play."

Subject: [*] ClippingNamer

Finder clippings are a wonderful idea that most people don't use because
they're such a pain to deal with. Ever tried to find the right clipping
among a bunch of "Text Clipping 1", "Text Clipping 2", etc? It's not too
bad with one clipping, but more than a couple leads to long sessions in
the Finder assigning useful names, wasting the time you saved.

ClippingNamer helps you manage clippings. Without leaving your current
program, you can:
*	Automatically assign a new name based on the (text) clipping contents.
*	Automatically create a thumbnail image (icon) for picture clippings.
*	Popup a dialog that lets you see both ClippingNamer's and the Finder's
suggested names, and use either one or a new name you type.
* NEW - Save text or picture clippings as SimpleText files instead.
* NEW - Append text clippings to existing files/clippings instead of
creating new.

You can set any of these modes (or none) as the default, and invoke any
of the others with modifier keys (completely customizable). There are
several other convenience options as well.

UPDATE: Version 1.1.3 adds the save to file and append features.
It fixes bugs that caused renamed clippings to move around on the Desktop
under OS8, and a problem on some machines where nothing happening
regardless of hotkeys, or Stuffit Expander crashed.

ClippingNamer is $10 shareware. See
<http://www.patchdance.com/shareware.html> for this and other shareware
products. Contact the author at <shareware@patchdance.com>

Subject: [*] LineSort 4.2

LineSort is an extension that adds functionality to BBEdit, a commercial
text editor from Bare Bones Software. LineSort is capable of sorting large
amounts of text with reasonable speed and predictable memory requirements.
The basic unit of sorting is a line, a string of text terminated by an
end-of-line character.

LineSort Version 4.2 includes the following useful features:

   * convenient floating window interface
   * forward or reverse ordering of output
   * grep pattern matching
   * lexicographic or natural ordering
   * merges, removes or retains duplicate lines during sorting
   * operates on either a selected region of text or the entire document
   * optionally ignores case
   * sorts in place, or inserts sorted lines into a new document window
   * supports the undo command

Requirements

   * Macintosh (any model) with System 7 or 8.
   * BBEdit 3.5.2 or later (the commercial version, not BBEdit Lite)

PATTERN MATCHING

Pattern matching adds considerable power and flexibility to LineSort. The
generality of pattern-matching allows the user to greatly extend the
capabilites of LineSort, without requiring any re-programming by the
author.

The basic idea is that you can define a pattern upon which to sort.
LineSort
will search for and recognize this pattern. When it rearranges the lines
of
text, it will order them according to the patterns it finds. If a line
does
not contain the pattern then it can't be sorted. After sorting, lines that
did not match the selected pattern are moved into a new untitled window.

SafePicker 2.0 is a program that lets you pick web-safe colors for your web
site. It has a WYSIWYG preview that lets you see exactly how your page will
look with the selected colors. And it makes sure your colors are web-safe.

What are web-safe colors? Web-safe colors are 216 colors that don't dither on
most web browsers over most platforms. Dithering happens when a computer can't
make one color, so it simulates it by mixing two colors together. This can
often lead to ugly results. Use SafePicker, and dithering is gone.
