bsd-ipv6-atm: ATM on FreeBSD/NetBSD, release 1.2 (alpha) by Mohsen Souissi and Francis Dupont, (INRIA, IPv6) Mohsen.Souissi@inria.fr, Francis.Dupont@inria.fr ============================================================================== This Research (IPv6 over ATM) is sponsored by CNET (France Telecom Research and Development Center) as "CTI" (PhD grant). This is experimental software which is daily changing. Use at your own risk. It is based on Chuck Cranor's driver code and distribution of EPFL by Werner Almesberger. While implementing this software, major updates in the linux-atm code have been tracked until version 0.47. This package contains a ported and modified code of ilmid and atmsigd. There is also a basic API for IPv4 and IPv6 over ATM in an SVC environment. Point-to-point and Point-to-multipoint SVC are fully supported but QoS is not allowed for yet. The following Network Interface Card is supported: Efficient Networks ENI155p-MF/U5 155 Mbps ATM adapter UNI 3.0/3.1 are supported. UNI 4.0 and Q.2963.1 are partially supported The following protocols are supported: * IPv4 over ATM (AAL5, LLC/SNAP encapsulation) * IPv6 over ATM (AAL5, LLC/SNAP encapsulation) * InATMARP as defined in RFC2225 (former RFC1577) * A minimal Neighbor Discovery (NDP) program was implemented to enble adding IPv6 routes on open ATM SVC. Two ascii files "usage.txt" and "platform.txt" accompany this README file and contains more technical details on this software and on the platform architecture and configuration. 'CHANGES' file describes major changes from previous version (1.1).
