This is the fourth updated online edition. It originally came from the book's third print edition. The title is "MH & nmh" instead of "MH & xmh." But the book still covers MH, xmh, exmh and mh-e -- as well as the new version of MH called nmh.

The most up-to-date copy of this book is at http://www.ics.uci.edu/~mh/book/. If you'll use the book often, check the list of servers... maybe bookmark a second server in case one's down.

I update the online Web version as often as I can -- including minor problems that readers spot. Here's what's new: updates and new features. And some other notes:

This book covers MH, nmh, and several interfaces to them. The Road Map is a good place to start. If you're using frames, you've got an index search box and a listing of the main table of contents. Non-frames users: if your server or system is set up to do it, you can search the index (NOTE: it's an unusual egrep search; here are tips) or see the complete table of contents.
